Often the minimum requirement to charter a yacht the RYA Day Skipper course covers everything you will need to know to take charge of a yacht safely and confidently.
Courses start at £399
Yachtmaster Coastal & Yachtmaster Offshore Certificates of Competence are gained by examination and are conducted by RYA Yachtmaster examiners who are independent of sailing schools.
We run a continuous 5 day course directly followed by the exam.
This course provides a short introduction to sail cruising for novices.
Courses start at £225
By the end of the course participants will have experienced steering a yacht, sail handling, rope work and be aware of safety onboard.

Why take a sailing course?Sailing is an extremely fun and social sport which can be enjoyed by anyone at any level with any budget. It is important however to remember that sailing is not without risk which is why we believe it is essential to get off to the best start, however it doesn’t stop here. As you gain both experience and confidence you will want to improve on your sailing skills and to possibly gain further qualifications. Other sailing coursesIf you own your own yacht then we can also offer tuition & the full range of courses on your own yacht if you prefer.
We aim to sail along the south coast, around the Solent and across the channel to France, weather permitting. |
